Suburbs we cover here: Rosemoor, Protea Park, Dormehlsdrift, George Industria
Borcherds is dense residential with small trade running through it, and the brief is nearly always security that still has to work smoothly every day.
What we see in Borcherds
A shutter that looks the part but does not lock properly is not a shutter. We specify the locking and the bottom rail seat rather than treating them as afterthoughts, because that is where these doors are actually attacked.
Water is the second issue. The ground falls through parts of Borcherds and runoff finds the opening, so we set the seal to the slab as it actually falls.
Getting on site
Narrow streets and limited parking. We schedule early and keep the vehicle off the pavement.
Motors, backup and load shedding
Manual doors dominate here and often should. Where a door is motorised we fit manual override as standard and set the limits properly.
Repairs on any make
Any make, any age. Guides, bottom rails, springs and forced locks cover most Borcherds callouts.
What it costs
Price follows the opening size, the slat specification and the fixings. Several openings quoted together are cheaper per door.
How soon we can be there
Surveys in Borcherds are usually within 48 hours and breakdowns are attended same-day where we can reach you.
Getting a quote
Send the opening sizes as a list and a photograph of the frontage.

Common questions
Roller doors in Borcherds
Same-day where we can reach you. A shop or workshop that cannot secure at closing time cannot close, so those calls go to the front of the list.
We check that at the survey rather than after. Openings here go into walls of very mixed quality, and a good curtain on bad fixings comes off the wall inside a year — so we look at what we are fixing into before we quote.
Manual, more often than not. Fewer parts, nothing to fail during an outage and less to maintain. We will say so rather than quote automation you do not need.
